Baby Showers:
"Diaper shower" or a baby sprinkle refers to a small-scale baby shower, generally for subsequent children, when the parents don't need as many items. In the United States, many people choose to have baby showers for both parents, and some people have a men-only shower. Baby showers are increasingly popular in Africa, Asia and Latin America, but are "women-only" social gatherings.
Even when a shower is held for only the first child, it is not uncommon for a parent to have more than one baby shower, such as one with friends and another with co-workers. The men usually give the daddy-to-be diapers only because the mommy-to-be is getting other items at the shower. When you and your friends first become parents, you may find that there isn't much time for going out or socialising at all, so a baby shower is a great way to get everyone together and have fun.
Here are some practical baby shower exercises:
- Change the diaper but only using one hand, the fastest wins.
- Diaper throwing game, and the diapers have candies or chocolate stuff.
- Guess the expectant mother's girth: guests cut pieces of ribbon, yarn, or toilet paper to a length they believe matches the mother-to-be's tummy circumference.

Dolls like Fulla and Barbie are often criticized for what they teach children about gender roles. Toys for infants often make use of distinctive sounds, bright colors, and unique textures. The origin of the word "toy" is unknown, but it is believed that it was first used in the 14th century.
Toy makers change and adapt their toys to meet the changing demands of children thereby gaining a larger share of the substantial market. Some toys, such as Beanie Babies, attract large numbers of enthusiasts, eventually becoming collectibles. Sometimes intended as decorations, keepsakes, or collectables for older children and adults, most dolls are intended as toys for children, usually girls, to play with.
Baby details and guidance
After birth, the umbilical cord is normally cut, leaving a 1-2 inch stub. Some babies are born with a full head of hair whereas others are completely bald or have patchy hair. While the adult human skull is about 1/8 of the total body length, the newborn's is about 1/4.
For parents who breastfeed, it's a good idea to continue this because weaning the baby from breast milk may make the colic worse. Daycare centers with an "infant room" often call all children in it "infants" even if they are older than a year and/or walking; they sometimes use the term "walking infant". While still inside the mother, the infant could hear many internal noises, such as the mother's heartbeat, as well as many external noises including human voices, music and most other sounds.
